I totally agree with this plan as it addresses all the current negative finiancial issues while helping at the grass roots level or as Obama say "main street America".
I agree with you Dennis, this could work... Only problem is that Washington does not and never will do anything to help the American Main Street... Those whom we send to Washington always get in with the lobbyist and see their pockets overflow with money and gifts. They forget about those who sent them there until election time again, then they tell America they worked hard in Washington for us, they worked hard in Washington for themselves. Americans have always taken the losses, while Washington as always bailed out Wall Street, other Countries and CEO's. Time for Americans to stand up and say "NO MORE WASHINGTON". Great plan, but one that Washington will never agree too...........
This plan has a lot of very good benefits. It is a much better investment of OUR bailout money than giving it to the same people (the financial industry) that got us into this situation in the first place. Putting our taxes to work dealing directly with the homeowners that are in distress is a much better idea than giving it to banks in the hope that they'll use it to provide mortgages instead of just lining their own pockets - AGAIN!
I think this plan is really good for the middle class people. They worked hard so now they should get something from the government to help them pay the mortage.
